Dr. David. C. Graham was appointed as senior Pastor of Holy Temple Church of God In Christ in 1979 by the late Bishop Howard Smith.


Dr. Graham’s principle thrust is his desire to address the needs of the poor, urban and rural minorities, low income individuals and families so that they can meet societies demands in the areas of economic, housing, health care and vocational training to become a viable part of today’s work force.


Dr. Graham is a Bible teacher, senior facilitator, family counselor, lecturer and businessman. He has been an adjunct professor at Ocean County College. Dr. Graham has also held numerous positions within the Church of God in Christ on both a state and national level under the leadership of Bishop Norman Prescott, New Jersey Third Ecclesiastical Jurisdiction. 


Dr. Graham has also served on the Advisory Board of the Ocean County Department of Human Services and as chairman of the Coalition for the Development of Community Programs. This membership consists of pastors of various denominations throughout the state of New Jersey.


Dr. Graham holds a Bachelor of Theology from the American Divinity School, a Master of Theology and Doctorate of Sacred Theology from United Christian College. He also holds a Master of Science degree from Southern New Hampshire University in the area of Community Economic Development.


Next to salvation, Pastor Graham’s most cherished accomplishment is his family. He is the husband of Evangelist “Mom” Shirley J. Graham, the proud father of 3 and proud grandfather of 4.


Pastor Graham lives by the words of Romans 8:28, “And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.”
