The Holy Temple Tech Team is responsible for creating an online experience through social media and website development and maintenance in order to reach out to the world building Godly relationships and encourage Christian growth.

The Media ministry is responsible for recording and documenting all worship services and events. These recordings include music, the arts, and the preached word.

The Men’s Department promotes the building up, encouraging and strengthening men to fulfill their God given role as men, fathers, and husbands, equipping them to become better citizens of their local communities and worldwide that reflect the character of Christ.

New Members Class offers classes for all new members through out the year. Classes are designed to help new members build and understanding of their role as a member of the body of Christ

Women’s Department focuses on developing the whole women, spiritually, mentally and physically through fellowship, workshops, conferences and all around fun.

Young Women’s Christian Council (YWCC) is a vehicle through which young women can get together, grow in God’s word, apply biblical truths to their daily lives and ultimately live a victorious life through Christ. 


The Missionaries and Helping Hands strives to bring encouragement to individuals in need during times of illness and grief through card ministry and visitations to homes, hospitals, nursing homes, and more. Gifts and tokens of love are also distributed to individuals and families during the year.


The Music Ministry includes various choirs: Holy Temple Choral Ensemble, Children’s Choir, Senior Choir, as well as instrumental musicians with the purpose of ushering in a spirit of worship and setting the atmosphere so that the hearts of men, women and children are prepared to receive the word of God, ultimately changing lives for the better.

The Arts Ministry is a reflection of public worship through various styles of performing arts including: Dance Ministry, Mime Ministry, Step Team, The Spoken Word, etc. Through this form of worship the ministry seeks to move and flow in the Spirit and to build a platform where the presence of God is both felt and glorified.


Puppetry is a community outreach program designed to assist in the development of our youth. We focus on building self-esteem, self-awareness, positive thinking, and much more. Puppetry skits are a unique way of relaying a message about every day situations and challenges that people of all ages can relate to. 

Youth Department provides a Christ-centered environment where young people may develop spiritually, emotionally and socially, through learning about God, oneself and one another. 



The Sunday School Department welcomes all ages. Sunday school is the time to dig deep into the word of God at a level that all can understand, to learn what the bible teaches and how it applies to our daily lives. We have classes for children, youth, young adults and adults. Each lesson is designed to strengthen and encourage your faith and equip you for life.



Evangelist Shirley Graham is a well-trained bible teacher, conference/seminar lecturer, prison ministry overseer, visionary and renowned preacher. She holds a Bachelor of Biblical Studies from Christian Central University and is a graduate of Temple Bible Institute. In addition, Evangelist Graham has successfully completed various divinity courses from Advanced Christian Training School, Deliverance Bible Institute and Manhattan Bible Institute. Evangelist Graham was licensed as an evangelist in the Church of God in Christ over thirty-five years ago. In the fall of 2001, she received the honor of being ordained by Bishop Donald E. Hilliard, Jr. 

Evangelist Graham is a world-renowned evangelist who has made several guest appearances on "Praise the Lord” at the Trinity Broadcasting Network (TBN) in Atlanta, Georgia, as well as hosted numerous shows of her own at the TBN studio in Fishkill, NY. Her commitment to discipleship has affected thousands of lives throughout the United States, Europe, and the Caribbean.


Evangelist Graham personifies the beatitude “blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness; for they shall be filled.” Her love and passion for God and His people keep her in constant pursuit of God’s will. Consequently, her messages are grounded in the simplicity of Christ crucified and aimed at snatching souls from Satan’s grasp.


She is most proud of her commitment to family, being married for over 50 years to Dr. David C. Graham. Together they have two daughters, Valerie and Anita, one son David J. and four grandchildren.

How Do I Get There?

We are located off the Garden State Parkway South at exit 80.  As you exit, follow the sign for “South Toms River”. The exit ramp will split into 3 lanes. Stay in the middle lane to the stop sign (Double Trouble Road). Make a right and proceed to the traffic light (Dover Road). Cross over Dover Road onto Railroad Avenue. Follow Railroad Avenue as it curves around and becomes First Street.  Make a left at the first street, which is “1st Avenue”.  The church is located three blocks down on the right.


What are the Service Times?

Sunday School classes for all ages is at 9:00am followed by our morning worship service at 10:00am every Sunday.  Our bible study is Wednesday nights at 7:30pm. 





Dr. David. C. Graham was appointed as senior Pastor of Holy Temple Church of God In Christ in 1979 by the late Bishop Howard Smith.


Dr. Graham’s principle thrust is his desire to address the needs of the poor, urban and rural minorities, low income individuals and families so that they can meet societies demands in the areas of economic, housing, health care and vocational training to become a viable part of today’s work force.


Dr. Graham is a Bible teacher, senior facilitator, family counselor, lecturer and businessman. He has been an adjunct professor at Ocean County College. Dr. Graham has also held numerous positions within the Church of God in Christ on both a state and national level under the leadership of Bishop Norman Prescott, New Jersey Third Ecclesiastical Jurisdiction. 


Dr. Graham has also served on the Advisory Board of the Ocean County Department of Human Services and as chairman of the Coalition for the Development of Community Programs. This membership consists of pastors of various denominations throughout the state of New Jersey.


Dr. Graham holds a Bachelor of Theology from the American Divinity School, a Master of Theology and Doctorate of Sacred Theology from United Christian College. He also holds a Master of Science degree from Southern New Hampshire University in the area of Community Economic Development.


Next to salvation, Pastor Graham’s most cherished accomplishment is his family. He is the husband of Evangelist “Mom” Shirley J. Graham, the proud father of 3 and proud grandfather of 4.


Pastor Graham lives by the words of Romans 8:28, “And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.”
